Our Photo Gallery software required a major upgrade to address some security issues and general bugs. It has taken some time to complete the full upgrade and it now appears to be running fine. There are some minor differences in how it works but the user experience shouldn't be any different.
I have also taken the opportunity to implement "Lightbox". For the last few weeks I have been working on getting Lightbox integrated with CPMFetch (the program that puts the four random images under the webpage heading) and Coppermine (the actual photo gallery software). What this means for you. If you click on one of the random images under the heading the full size photo from our gallery is displayed. No more squinting at a thumbnail image. There are still a few tweaks required as not all the functionality of CPMFetch is working as I was hoping but it works well enough. Lightbox is easy to use, just click on one of the thumbnail images under the heading and the full photo will be overlayed on the webpage. To close the image overlay click on the any part of the darkened area that surrounds the image. There are also "Back" and "Forward" tabs on the top left and top right of each photo that allow you to scroll through all four images if you wish.
I have added some more photo galleries from recent walks, thanks as always to our resident shutterbug Lorraine.
Do any walk leaders have any reports they would like to add to the website. If you do then please send them in for publication.
See you on the trail,
Michael.

You may have noticed no new photos in the photo gallery for a while. A major software upgrade has been released for the gallery, as the software needs some small modifying for our use this should be completed soon.
